If we have a home away from home, it has to be Sheboygan. Every gig we do there is full of crazy (in a good way) music lovers. Nothing makes playing in a band more fun than watching the crowd having a good time. Thanks to festival staff for running a top notch event. Thanks to our family and friends from outside of Sheboygan for making the trip. And even bigger thanks to the Sheboygan Cuke-sters. We recognized a lot of faces from our Sandy's gigs over the years. We also want to thank Jen for filling in on lead vocals for our soon to be mommy Elise. You can catch more of Jen with her band the Crisis all over SE Wisconsin.
This was our second time around with everyone in Oregon and we were pretty excite about this gig. Last year was fun but y'all bump it up a notch this year. The end of the night ended in one of the heaviest storms we've ever played in and it didn't bother you one bit. Absolute cuke-tastic time everyone!
There were so many people at this one that we can't possibly include everyone in our thank you list this time. But we have to thank Jen from the Crisis for filling on lead vocals. She's helping us out this summer while our lovely cukette is starting her family. We also want to thank the staff at Summerfest. Extremely well run event! And a big thanks to all of our Cuke fans that made the trip to Oregon. Having some familar faces in the crowd always makes it more fun for us.
It was cold and rainy outside but plenty warm inside at Papa's Social Club last night. We were honored to be the first band to use their new digital mixer, with excellent results (thanks Tom).
Now to thank all those people that make playing all these cover tunes fun for us. Big time thanks to Buzz and Nicky from Rick Springfield's tour team. Buzz jumped up on stage and sang a couple tunes with us. Next time you're in town you have to do this with us again. Ohh, thanks for making that happen Cara and Lisa. Made the 3rd set extremely fun for us.
Our new found friends the Froedtert crew (at least that's what we call 'em) where with us at Papa's and even showed off the birthday Cukes shirt for the evening. Jamie, Bob, Batman (yes the Batman), and Rebecca, thanks for proving Milwaukerocks.com works!
We also want to thank Papa's staff, as always very professional and friendly. We really got around during the breaks and met a lot of you. Shout outs to Sarah, Nicole, Ashley, Jeff, Tim, Dave, Angie, DJ Snakes, Kari, Kim, Karen, Vince, Ronnie, Robin, Harpo (hope you liked what you heard last night), Steve, and soon to be a married man for the first time Chappy!
Friday nights tend to start a little slow, but y'all finished like it was 1999... (sorry that Prince reference is incredibly out of date). Seriously though, we another great experience with our Mo's clan. Our lovely Elise (soon to be mommy) & Todd (I won't comment.. oh what the hell he's lovely to) were able to catch some of the gig.
Shout out mega blasts to: A-Ron and the less than one week away Mrs. A-Ron were toe tapping with us. Lori, John Paul Jones, Libby, Toni, Cobie, Mark and Lauren, happy birthday Shelly, Marty and Mike, Nick and Ann, Jolie, Steph, RJ (from Samurai Lucy), Diana, That fantastic chair dancing women, Peter, Paul, Mary, and our lucky charm little fella (still won't tell me his name) who is always at our Mo's gigs.
Where do we begin? This Friday/Saturday gig was absolutely a blast. Fantastic time working with some very professional and friendly folks at Ho-Chunk Casino in Wisconsin Dells. Couldn't have been a better pair of weekend gigs. Next time we'll work on getting a big group of our Milwaukee fans some rooms and make it a Screamin' Wo Zha Wa weekend!

Shewoman in Sheboygan do some crazy stuff with those Screamin' Cucumbers umm... little promo cucumbers (and they are cucumbers not pickels folks). I don't know if it was the smell of spring in the air or the Rob's new sexy tight t-shirt but y'all were getting down right nasty. Sweet!
We had a lot of old faithful Cuke-sters and some new faces as well. Big time screamin' thank yous to Crytsal, Denise, Jessica, Mike, Kim, Eric, Amy, John's 3rd grade teacher, Rick, Tammy, Dave, Sue, Nuno, Lucile (85 and still rockin'), Mark, Donna, Tina, 7 and 7s, Allison, and Jason. We got around with the camera so check yourselves out on our picture page!
We've met a lot of great people playing all over Wisconsin the last 6+ years. A few of them have even been famous. I won't fib, it can be kinda cool talking and haning with someone famous. But rarely do we get to meet someone that the entire band was pysched about. Lynn Dickey happened to be at Mo's Irish Pub for our show last friday. The Cukes are typical diehard Packers fans so that was cool, to say the least.
In additional to the very professional staff of Mo's (how do you beat the band in clean up at the end of the night!?!) we'd like to wish Nicole happy birthday, Michele and the gang for 'Ass' bank, Tony Pegg and friends, Mark and Anna, Debbie and Jim, Russ and Dede, Karen, Jeremy, Chris, Tami, Julie, Jeff, Jen, Dan, Black Dog, Suzette (From Maui!), Jack, Ellen, Jeff, Becky, the whole Hee Haw gang, and our own Lil' E and hubby.
