We don't really get into the competition part of being in the music biz but if someone is going to throw an award or two at us we sure aren't going to refuse it!

WISN hands out their special "A-List" awards every year. The awards are based completely on their viewer's votes.

We've been lucky enough to snag a couple of top 5 finishes... I mean top 2 finishes:
2009: 2nd Place
2008: 1st Place
2007: 2nd Place

The Screamin' Cucumbers (AKA The Cukes) are well established and successful Milwaukee WI cover band. If you want to dance, air guitar, sing-a-long or kick back with a cold one, the Cukes are the band for you.

We also like to help out with some very worthy charities when we can. Heck if a little live music can increase the success of a charity event, we're game.

For the last 3 years we've donated our services to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk for a Cure event. This is held every year at the Milwaukee Zoo. JDRF is the leader in research associated with finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Another great charity that we've been able to support over the years is Make a Wish Foundation. Every year this organization has a run/walk in Milwaukee on the Summerfest grounds. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

2009 is behinds us. 2010 is fresh and new. What the hell does this have to do with the Sandee's gig? I don't know, all these little gig reviews can't be A+ quality!

We want to thank Kerry and the and the Sandee's crew for hosting the evening with the Cukes. As always, we had a great time. Couple shout outs (someone needs to invent a new term for this).
